For 2021 A New Beginning: The Consolidated Waste Systems Blog
We are emerging into 2021, into an age of controversial climate change and global warming. And we are seeing that it has never been more important to build a world of sustainable resources. Experts have explained repeatedly about “Pollution, environmental degradation, diversity loss, and climate change. It has never been more evident that the way we are living is unsustainable…”
And they have stated, we must begin “Looking beyond the current model of take, make, and throw away…” Instead of the old ways, 2021 is the year to focus on a “circular economy.” In short, “the circular economy redefines our understanding of growth, building natural, economic and social wealth for the betterment of people and the planet.”
2021 and A New Focus
What we do in the waste management industry is integral to that effort of sustainability and conservation. As experts have stated, “Waste management is important because improperly stored refuse can cause health, safety, and economic problems.” All living organisms create waste, but humans create far more waste than other species.
To prevent damaging the Earth’s ecosystems and maintain a high quality of life for the planet’s inhabitants, humans must manage and store their waste efficiently and safely.” And yet, we realize this topic is not a house-hold phrase. It is not discussed by many people. At Consolidated Waste Systems, this causes us great concern.
Put simply, we believe the general public as well as potential clients, need more understanding and knowledge about the waste industry. It touches every part of your everyday life. And yet few Americans realize it. So, we are intensifying our efforts to inform and educate the public about the impact of the waste industry.
Therefore, we hope you will join us in 2021 for a new beginning of awareness by reading our newly-expanded blog. Since we have “the largest service region in the State of Florida,” we feel uniquely positioned to be your authority in waste management issues and industry.
As our Happiest New Year of Optimism 2021 progresses, look for stories in our blogs covering topics such as:
- Discover how we at Consolidated Waste have the coverage of Ozone Generators over most of the State of Florida. (Plus, you will learn how Ozone can impact your business in a positive way as it eliminates odor, reduces pests.)
- Shortly from now, we will be writing about the types of waste. What is universal waste? Find out what constitutes hazardous waste. Learn how we handle them differently.
- Did you know, “The federal regulations identify five specific categories of materials that can be managed as universal wastes?” These include “batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment, lamps, and aerosol cans.”
However, you might be surprised to know that “…273 regulations define the type of materials that fall under the universal waste categories…”
Consolidated Waste Systems and You
And here in the newly expanded blog, we will tackle day-to-day topics that are part of everyone’s life. For example, are you re-cycling properly? As one of our directors, Garrett Edmonds states, “Some people think they are helping by recycling.” However, they are “putting contaminated items in recycling or things in the container that cannot be recycled.” In the Happiest New Year, 2021, Consolidated Waste Systems is here to teach you the proper “Do’s and Don’ts” of recycling.
Our Blog: Your Gift for the Happiest New Year
We feel compelled to bring you the waste management information you might not find anywhere else. The blog is free. It’s educational and conveniently located right here on our website. With it, we want to connect you with the impact our industry has on everyday life in the US. For example, CWS executive, Garrett Edmunds, feels like you might like to know “The impact of the Biden Administration on Solid Waste, the environment, and regulations.”
Likewise, the team at Consolidated Waste Systems wants to make you aware of “the role China plays in recycling in the US.”
For these and other fascinating topics, please make a New Year’s Resolution to read our blog. We know you’re going to like what you learn. And now, once more we wish you the “Happiest of New Year’s Greetings”– from all of us at CWS to all of you!
